Terms of use
These cover this site — the property adverts and the enquiry form on them. An agency that signs up to run its portfolio in RentorNG is covered by its own separate agreement, which these terms do not replace.
1. What this site is
This is a marketplace of properties published by the agencies that manage them. Each advert is put up by one agency, which decides what is on it and what it costs, and takes it down when the property goes. We provide the software the advert is published through, and the search that finds it.
Anybody may use the site to search. Nothing here requires an account, and searching is free.
2. The adverts are the agency's, not ours
An agency is responsible for what it publishes: the description, the photographs, the price, the terms, and whether the property is genuinely available. We do not inspect properties, and we cannot confirm that any advert is accurate or current.
We take the care we can — a unit somebody already occupies is not shown, an advert switched off comes down at once, and adverts may be checked before they appear — but none of that is a warranty and it should not be read as one. Satisfy yourself about a property, its condition, its price and the agency before you part with anything.
Never send money to secure a viewing. No part of this site asks you for a payment, and no genuine advert here requires one before you have seen a property and met the agency.
3. Sending an enquiry
The form on an advert sends what you write to the agency that published it, and to nobody else. It creates a record in that agency's own book so that somebody can call you back. Whether and how quickly they do is up to them.
Send only what you are content for that agency to hold. What happens to it afterwards is described in our privacy notice.
4. What is not allowed here
- Collecting contact details in bulk. The telephone numbers on this site are here so that one person can call about one property. Harvesting them — by hand or by machine — is not permitted.
- Automated copying of the listings, or any attempt to reproduce the site or a substantial part of it elsewhere.
- Sending an enquiry that is not one — advertising, chain messages, abuse, or anything meant to mislead the person who reads it.
- Impersonating somebody, whether an agency, a colleague, or another enquirer.
- Interfering with the service — probing it, overloading it, or trying to reach records that are not yours.
We may remove an advert, refuse an enquiry, or block access where any of these happens; and where an agency is involved, we may restrict or suspend its account under its own agreement with us.
5. Availability
We work to keep the site up and correct, and we cannot promise that it will never be unavailable, never be interrupted for maintenance, or never contain a mistake. Nothing on this page is intended to exclude any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
6. If you are an agency
Publishing a property here is done from the agency application, and is governed by your agreement with us and by the plan you are on rather than by this page. Two things are worth stating here, because they decide what a visitor sees.
- You publish what you manage. An advert must be for a property you are instructed on, and it must come down when it is no longer available.
- Your adverts remain yours. If you move to a plan that publishes fewer properties than you already have on the market, nothing already published is taken down — you simply cannot add another until you are back within the allowance.
7. Changes, and the law that applies
These terms may change. The date at the foot of the page changes with them, and continuing to use the site is acceptance of the version then published.
This site is operated by [operating company: registered name and address], and these terms are governed by the law of [the governing jurisdiction], whose courts have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
